Winter Garden Update

I love it when some plants flower in the winter. I've noticed that most of them are purple, for some reason.

New additions - chives and curly parsley

Beets, bok choy, and arugula

  1. What fun. Your lavender looks so pleased and home grown arugula is such a treat. Enjoy.

  2. If they're sheltered you can get lots to grow in a CA winter. Our roses have bloomed 4 times this year alone (including right now), but our more exposed lavender has already gone into hibernation:)

  3. @Mark - That's interesting. Growing up, I literally didn't know anything other than a spring garden. I'm quite excited to discover that fresh produce (beyond cabbages and broccoli) can be produced in the winter.
